Hello everybody. This my first post (sorry for my english)
I'm a male, 30 and work with computers.
I wear glasses (myopia -2.75 in right eye and myopia -1.75 and
astigmatism -1.25 in left eye). I also wear contact lenses
I've been suffering chronic diary tension headaches for 6 years
(pressure sensation, dizziness, neck tightness) and I'm desesperated.
I've visited lots of doctors with no luck. I've been put on lots of
meds (antidepressants, muscle relaxants, migraine preventives,
alimentary supplements, massages, diet to supress some foods, etc, )
with no effect.
My headaches start soon in the morning and get worse driving, reading,
watching TV, working with the computer and get relief with exercise or
doing nothing. Normally it doesn't hurt at night or when I'm tired
The other day I read an old post mentioning something about headaches
and binocular vision problems (phorias). It suggested to wear an eye
use the patch or I wear only one contact lens (the other eye totally
uncorrected so it can focus almost nothing)
My preescription has been revised recently several times and it's OK
The other day I visited an eye specialsit. I told him my problem and
made me a revision. Every was OK (pupil, tension, nerve). I'm not sure
if he checked binocular vision.
Is it possible to be a binocular problem? Can it be detected with any
specific test?

It is also possible that your binocular vision is defective, and that
even with normal eyeglasses/contact lenses, you will have problems. In
this case, you will need to get an optometrist to prescribe the correct
amount of prism to cure your defect. Start by wearing an eye patch.
If that helps, get a small amount of prism (1/2 diopter in each eye)
and see if that helps or makes it worse. If it makes things worse, try
prism in the opposite direction (Prism can be prescribed as "Base In"
or "Base Out").
